Do you make everything yourself?
Yes! Every product is designed, made or carefully assembled by me here in Australia. From handmade bags and practical gifts to cross stitch kits and digital patterns, everything begins with a real idea, a real need or someone saying, "There has to be a better way."
Are your products handmade?
Yes. Many of my products are handmade in my home studio, while others, such as my cross stitch kits and craft sets, are thoughtfully designed and carefully assembled using quality materials and supplies I've personally selected. Whether it's handmade from start to finish or created using carefully chosen components, every product is designed with purpose and made to be used, enjoyed and loved.
Where are you located?
I'm based in Canberra, Australia, and ship Australia-wide and internationally.
Can I shop with you in person?
Yes! I regularly attend local markets throughout the year. The easiest way to see where I'll be next is by checking the Markets page on my website or following Butterfly Cards & Gifts on social media.
Do you have a physical shop?
Not at this stage. My products are available through my online store and at the markets I attend.

What types of products do you offer?
I offer cross stitch kits and sewing supplies, handmade practical pouches and bags, small gifts, and everyday essentials designed to make life easier and more enjoyable.
Where do you get your fabrics?
I source fabrics from a range of Australian and international designers, choosing prints that are practical, colourful and fun to use. Many fabrics are available in limited quantities, so once a particular design sells out it may not return.
Can I request a different fabric?
Absolutely! If you'd love one of my products in a different fabric, just get in touch. If I have something suitable available, I'm happy to create a custom order whenever possible.
Can I request a custom order?
Yes. Many products can be customised with different fabrics, colours or small changes. If you have something in mind, send me a message and I'll let you know what's possible.
Why are your products different?
Every product starts with a real-life problem, frustration or idea.
Whether it's a Drink Bottle Bag with a protective rubber-backed lining, reusable Face Cleanser Pads made with soft micro towelling, or beginner-friendly cross stitch kits designed to build confidence, every product has been created with purpose. I believe practical doesn't have to be boring, and everything I create is made to be used, designed to be loved.
Can I purchase gift cards or send gifts directly to someone else?
Currently, I do not offer gift cards, but you can have your order shipped directly to the gift recipient by entering their shipping address at checkout.
How do I care for handmade items like pouches and covers?
Handmade fabric items should be gently hand washed or spot cleaned to preserve their quality and longevity. Avoid harsh detergents and excessive heat.
Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Yes, I have a sale section and sometimes have special offers. You can subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of our site for early access to new releases, exclusive deals, and freebies.
Can I contact you for bulk orders?

Postage & Shipping FAQs:
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, I ship worldwide. Shipping costs vary based on location. And are calculated at checkout. See our full Shipping Policy.
What is your postage pricing for Australian orders?
Orders over $30AUD qualify for free Australia-wide shipping, and orders under $30AUD have a flat-rate of $5 postage..
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times depend on your location. Local orders within Australia typically arrive within 3-7 business days. International shipments may take longer depending on customs and postal services.
Do you offer local delivery to Canberra residents, in ACT, Australia?
Yes, I offer free local delivery for orders $20+ if you’re in or near Kambah, Canberra. This option will appear at checkout if you are in our local delivery radius.
Can I track my order?
Tracking is provided on most parcels. Your tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched. Please check your spam/junk folder and accept my emails.
What is your return and refund policy?
We accept returns on unused, unopened items within 14 days of delivery. Refunds will be processed upon receiving the returned product. Customised or personalised items are not eligible for return unless faulty, under ACCC and consumer law guarantees. See our Refund Policy.

I've never tried cross stitch before. Can I do it?
Absolutely! My First Stitchers Cross Stitch Kits are designed specifically for complete beginners. I'm not very crafty. Will I be able to do it?
Yes! One of the most common things I hear at markets is, "I'd love to try cross stitch, but I don't think I'd be very good at it." That's exactly why I created my beginner kits. Are your cross stitch patterns tested?
Yes. Every cross stitch pattern is personally stitched and tested before being released to make sure the finished design matches the pattern and provides an enjoyable stitching experience.
Do you offer help if I get stuck?
Absolutely. My kits and digital patterns include detailed instructions, and I also provide beginner-friendly tutorials to help you along the way. If you're ever unsure, you're welcome to get in touch.
Digital Downloads FAQs:
How do digital cross stitch patterns work?
After your purchase is complete, you'll receive instant access to download your digital pattern. No waiting for postage means you can get started on your next stitching project straight away.
What's included with a digital pattern?
Each digital pattern includes everything in one easy-to-use PDF, including the colour pattern, black and white pattern, full-size pages and detailed instructions. I keep everything together in a single file, so you don't have to sort through multiple downloads before you can start stitching.
Can I return or exchange a digital download?
Because digital products are available for instant download, they can't be returned, exchanged or refunded once your purchase has been completed. However, if you experience any problems downloading your files or believe you've received the wrong pattern, please get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
Can I share my digital pattern with friends?
Please don't. Every pattern represents many hours of designing, stitching and testing. Purchasing your own copy helps support my small Australian business and allows me to continue creating new designs for the cross stitch community. Please send them the links to purchase their own, and have your cross stitch crafternoons together!
