Everything for Your Current Project, Ready to Grab and Go

I originally designed this project bag because I wanted an easier way to travel with my stitching. I needed something compact enough to take with me, organised enough to hold everything I needed for a project, and practical enough that I could quickly see what was inside without unpacking everything.

After looking at project bags already available, I noticed many stitchers loved clear-front bags because they could easily identify their projects. The downside was that stitching, floss, and fabric could be exposed to unnecessary light.

My solution was to combine the best of both worlds. Our Cross Stitch Project Bag features a clear vinyl front so you can quickly identify your project, paired with a fabric-backed internal pocket that helps protect your stitching, fabric, and threads. The result is a project bag that's practical for travel, project organisation, and work-in-progress storage.

A small internal slip pocket is perfectly sized for my handmade needle books and other project-specific tools, helping keep everything you need together in one place.

Why You'll Love It

  • Fabric-backed internal pocket helps protect stitching and threads
  • Internal slip pocket for needle books and small tools
  • Suitable for travel, project organisation, and WIP storage
  • Secure zip closure
  • Handmade in Australia in small batches
  • Practical design with personality built in

Designed for Real Stitching

Every stitcher organises projects differently. Some keep one project on the go. Others have a collection of works in progress waiting for their turn.

This project bag works beautifully for both. Use it as a grab-and-go travel bag for your current project, or as part of a larger stitching organisation system where each project has its own dedicated home.

Many stitchers find that having everything for a project together makes it easier to pick up where they left off and spend more time stitching instead of searching for supplies.

FAQs

What fits inside?

The bag is designed to hold a project, pattern, floss, and essential stitching tools. The internal slip pocket is perfectly sized for my handmade needle books and can also hold other small project-specific accessories.

Why is there a clear front and a fabric pocket?

Many stitchers like being able to quickly see which project is inside a bag. The clear front makes that easy, while the internal fabric-backed pocket helps protect your stitching, floss, and fabric from unnecessary light exposure.

Is this designed for travel or storage?

Both. I originally designed it as a travel project bag, but many stitchers also use them to store works in progress between stitching sessions.

Will my hoop fit inside?

This depends on the size of your hoop and the size of the bag selected. Many stitchers store hoops inside either the front or back section of the bag, but I recommend checking measurements if you're unsure.

Can I use this for embroidery as well as cross stitch?

Yes. While I originally designed these for cross stitch projects, they're equally useful for embroidery, hand sewing, English paper piecing, and other portable needlework projects.

Can I choose the fabric?

Available fabrics change regularly depending on what I'm making at the time. If you have a particular theme, colour, or style in mind, get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

Keep Your Project Together
